Privacy policy and booking terms

Updated 5 October 2026. This document explains how Brolių baidarės processes website visitor and customer data.

1. Data controller

Brolių baidarės, Kalno St. 11, Merkinė. Questions about data: broliubaidares@gmail.com, tel. +370 682 15 500.

2. Data we collect

  • name, email address and telephone number;
  • selected route, dates, numbers of kayaks and participants, equipment, transport needs and notes;
  • booking status, price and deposit information and consent time;
  • technical security data needed to detect abuse and automated requests.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

We use data to manage requests, check availability, calculate prices, contact you and process bookings and payments. The legal grounds are steps requested before entering a contract, performance of the contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests in service security and abuse prevention.

4. Recipients and integrations

Data may be processed by hosting and email providers. Google Calendar receives only operational booking details, not customer contacts. When reCAPTCHA v3 or deposit payments are enabled, Google or the selected payment provider processes the necessary data under its own privacy terms.

5. Retention periods

  • unconfirmed and cancelled requests — up to 24 months from the planned trip date;
  • confirmed bookings and consent evidence — for the contract and possible claim period;
  • payment and accounting data — for the period required by law;
  • technical security logs — no longer than 90 days, except during incident investigations.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, receive a copy. Send requests to the email above. You may also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

7. Booking and deposit terms

  1. An online request is not final service confirmation; the organiser confirms dates, equipment, transport and the final price.
  2. The preliminary amount is calculated according to the route, days, participants, equipment and transport rules valid at the time of request.
  3. If a deposit applies, its amount is shown before payment. Payment and status are recorded with the booking.
  4. Deposit return, cancellation, delay and damaged equipment conditions are provided before final booking confirmation.
  5. The customer must provide correct participant and equipment quantities and report changes. Administrative corrections are sent to the customer and update availability.

Before paying, check the booking number, amount and final terms provided by the organiser.

8. Security and changes

Access to full booking data is restricted to administration accounts. Only general equipment availability is public. We may update this policy when functions or legal requirements change; the latest version is published here.
